Zel has always had a profound love for music, this love began when she was a young dancer performing and watching videos on VH1 and MTV.  She fell in love with all types of genres but was specifically drawn to the b96 mixmasters and was heavily influenced in the hip hop and the r&b genre.

In 2010 she began looking for an outlet to express herself artistically since she had stopped dancing after college.  A close friend, offered her a new outlet and taught her the fundamentals of djing.  What started as a hobby quickly became her main focus and passion.  Not only was it an adrenaline rush to be able to creatively try new things with different types of music but seeing how people reacted to the music is what drove her to continue on to learn more about the art.
 

Zel is an open format dj who has a strong grasp on all genres but is well known for her throwback and high energy sets.  In 2019 she made her debut as an Official Chicago Whitesox DJ.  In 2019 she joined and formed a group H!GHLO with DJ PJ who is is recognized for his ability to seamlessly mix between any musical style and has had the privilege of opening for artists such as Ja Rule and Future.  Zel continues to make her mark in gaining recognition through her career playing large scale venues, major events and plays in cities such as LA, Las Vegas and New York City.
